Really? He looks white to me. The guy to his left and the bloke behind, second from the left, look darker, but that might be shadow.

I think that's an artistic attempt at perspective through illumination.
Don't you think he's been "drawn swarthy", none of the ginger fringe on the artist's impression.

If they really cared about Palestinians they'd be organising more protests about Israeli crimes against humanity.
Downing Street has urged people not to take part in a protest in support of the banned group Palestine Action as police warned they would arrest anyone breaking terrorism laws.
Palestine Action has been banned under terrorism laws, and this weekend a large event protesting against its proscription has been organised by the group Defend Our Juries.
Asked if the government would encourage people not to attend the protest, Keir Starmer’s official spokesperson said: “Any action that is in support of a proscribed group in the UK, of course we do not support and the court has confirmed their continued proscription status.”...

One assumes that without this banned group protesting about Israel's war of extermination is totally impossible.
Palestine Action played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. The Israeli government will pay every bit as much attention to protests without them as it did to protests with them.
A lot of people need to grow the fuck up.

One thing which is becoming clear is that concern for the people of Gaza is far from the top of the list of motivations for some of these people.

It is my belief that a fair few of 'em regard these protests as a 'legitimate' outlet for their antisemitism. While they might feel sorry for Gaza, the important thing is to slag off the Jews.

Exactly, just as Tommy Robinson and his fan boys care not a jot about kids who are raped by non-Muslims.

My missus is on the train home having been at today's protest in support of Palestine Action outside Parliament. Our eldest daughter, there with her press pass, stood and watched scores of people, including an elderly man in a wheelchair, get carted off. She sent me some pictures of others, including an 88 year old man who was sitting on grass next to my wife when he got his collar felt. So, people, you need to know, I'm married to a terrorist who is also a 60 year old semi-retired art teacher who just a few years ago was teaching the Jewish girls at Gateshead college.

The unlamented and now sacked John Woodcock, of all people, suggested something sensible, a sort of intermediate status for groups who cause damage like Palestine Action, but aren't a threat to life in the way that terrorism usually is. It seems like this isn't going to be easily enforceable without the Government looking stupid.

Last year, removed from his rôle. Not sure why, as his recommendations seem now to be policy.

It would be so much easier to round up every blind octegenerian rather than issue facile and ludicrous statements, while reformers do their sieg heiling for the broadcasters.
Reminder: government is not easy.

Don't know what he said about them, if anything. I was referring to what I saw attributed to him about a sort of intermediate class of classification.

In shock news, it seems like the law was applied to some middle class people.

But I think the best result would be for the courts to bail the Government out. Reminds me of Ted Heath when he realized that putting people in jail for picketing was a bad look. Someone called the Official Solicitor came forward to get them released.
Interestingly, Cooper is insisting that this was based solidly on security advice. No sign of preparing for a legal lifeboat there.
