These people are monsters, pure and simple, having had a clear route to civilisation and eschewing it.

Personally, the chance of choice being remotely close is hopeless - too many Bavarian weirdo adherents to Rome. So, if the blessed relief of a massive heart attack sells me short, I'll do a Bowie and take care of matters myself. It's not that difficult.

'We need to improve pallative care' is such bullshit, especially in a country with a falling birthrate that despises immigrant labour.
What that'll mean in practice is stuffing you with shittier drugs then the ones Bowie could get hold off.
My mum begged and screamed for me to kill her when she was dying, I couldn't do that even if it was legal. Fuck the law, I intend to stockpile the best opiates, uppers, downers and hallucinagens. "But we can improve NHS pallative care," no you can't, fuck off.

When my father was in the last stages of lung cancer our great doctor prescribed a ridiculous amount of morphine...
I was sent to the chemists to get it, but in the meantime for some reason he was blue lighted to hospital whilst I was out. He then endured two weeks more of suffering, dying an emaciated hulk in an oxygen tent. It was soul-destroying.

My mother later hinted that she had been ready and prepared to give him the increased dose, but a relative called an ambulance.

Dignity, eh? Who needs it...

The real issue was palliative care, Malc.

What an awful thing to happen.

The “Brompton Cocktail” was widely (and illegally) used until very recently. King George V was administered one to hasten his end .

I'd probably drop the alc and add a couple of hundred mg of MDMA to that, and maybe a healthy belt of Viagra, just for the hell of it.

Otherwise, we are good to go.

Here is quite a good article that (sort of) explains why the bill did not get past Second Reading this time .

Why did MPs vote to reject the assisted dying bill – and what happens now?
