If there is another vote next week, and he loses, what happens when he refuses to resign? Presumably the queen would have to get involved?

Speaking of which
Suella Braverman reckoning she has a hope in hell of any job whatsoever in a non-Johnson cabinet, let alone be leader, is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a day with some pretty fierce competition.

That final conversation as we turned in for the night;

Me: "He's made Dilyn the next Reichsführer and Patel is fighting a breakout with Martin Bormann at Pichelsdorf Bridge."
Fr. K: "This sounds depressingly familiar."

Michelle Donelan lasted 24 hours as Education Secretary. Only one minister in Education, and she's in the Lords.

Reports from 'senior sources' - "It's done", "It's over."
Resignation statement written and Johnson agrees to go. No lectern yet, though, but only a few hours away.
In the words of Charles I, "That will be the sign."
Probably Brandon Lewis was the final straw. But no idea of what happens next, normally he would stay in post whilst the Tories choose a new leader. Perhaps...
