Sadly, one Tessa Jowell failed to defend a narrow majority and Vivian Bendall (Con) gained the seat.

The current MP is Wes Streeting.
It's a sign of the power of the press that my parent's generation often observe.
"The seat was Tory since Queen Victoria's time".
