Apparently this is a multi million pound wedding of the son of a squillionaire who paid huge sums to big names to attend. As no one of consequence wanted to be associated with such a low rent concept, the Johnsons were approached.

No evidence they were paid to attend, and the guest list is pretty impressive:
Associated Press wrote: The guest list includes former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson; John Kerry, the former U.S. special envoy for climate, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin H. Nasser; and Adele, Lana Del Rey, Drake and David Beckham, according to local media.

It has been a wedding like no other — and the festivities have been going on for months. So where does one start?
With a three-day pre-wedding celebration in March when Rihanna and Akon performed for a star-studded 1,200-person guest list? Or a four-day European cruise in May that featured on-deck concerts from the Backstreet Boys and Pitbull, followed by a masquerade ball where Katy Perry sang? Or last week’s traditional music night in Mumbai where Justin Bieber belted out his music hits?
Wait. There’s more. An actual wedding that finally happened early Saturday and was attended by the likes of Mike Tyson, Nick Jonas, Tony Blair, Boris Johnson and Kim Kardashian, who was escorted to her hotel room by artists playing a flute.
Mind you, almost everyone from Bollywood was there as well. And the groom arrived in a Rolls Royce, with marching bands playing in the procession.
The wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has been a global spectacle. Not only has it brought the world’s most famous celebrities, powerful politicians and business tycoons under one roof, it has also highlighted the immense clout of the Indian billionaire.

I don't think we have to assume Bozo got paid. He'd enjoy the lavishness and it's a heck of a networking opportunity for him.

Last night quite a few GB News broadcasters were attacking Tony Blair and Cherie for wearing traditional
Indian outfits but once the picture emerged of Johnson wearing a similar outfit but looking like a scruff they soon piped down.

Probably not but I assume the minstrels like Rihanna and Katy Perry were paid so it would only be fair to pay the clown act.

This Wikipedia page has a photo of Johnson on the day he resigned 2 years ago. Compare that to the above.
It’s not just he’s looking like he’s let himself go a bit - he looks a decade older. I can only imagine he spends a lot of time cramming port and cheese into his gob while complaining bitterly about how hard done by he’s been.

The wedding was going to held here in Britain as I understand, in Windsor, then Mohdi got involved and insisted it be held in India.

"Go on, do the mayor from Jaws!"
"Umm, err, well, my friends, how wonderful and fabulous and just like the ancient Greeks used to say...."
"MAYOR FROM JAWS!"
"Umm, ah, Peppa Pig, that'll show the Brussels busybodies!"
"Mayor from Jaws!!!....wanker..."

This is the most isolationist Republican Party in living memory, they don’t care what some Redcoat limey fag has to say. Although Russell Brand is attending.

Well, he's also conveniently discovered religion, and spouts bollocks for money. Also, what he does to teenage girls, the MAGA crowd want to do to the world.

I see Mr Blobby queued for his photo op with Trump. And I imagine Truss (who I have to believe is absolutely unknown to 99.9% of the people at the RNC shitshow) and Farage (“that British guy who stinks like a goddamn ashtray someone’s taken a piss in”) will do much the same.
Say what you like about Sunak (no, please do) - I genuinely can’t see him posing for suck-up photos with Trump in the desperate hope of crumbs from his table.

May as well have saved a few quid and popped down Madame Tussauds. But hey, it's Johnson. Save money?
