Sultana claimed the party was being run by a “sexist boys’ club” and suggested there were deep disagreements over how to launch party membership – including with the four other MPs in Corbyn’s Independent Alliance.
I'm amazed that a bunch of people with nothing in common besides Gaza might not be easy to make into a proper party.

Sultana realising Corbyn is a selfish old twat incapable of working with anyone is about as surprising as Warsi finding out that the Tories weren't open and inclusive after all.

I wouldn't actually blame Jez here. I think he's got a more realistic handle than Sultana on what a (non Greens) party of the left will have to look like, if party it's going to be, rather than a loose grouping. It'll be Gaza, Kashmir, family visas, broadbrush tax the rich, broadbrush pro small business, and broadbrush anti-war ("if Ukraine blah blah why not blah blah) not trans rights and social liberalism. I think he saw that Sultana didn't fit in from the start. Those MPs could well have Galloway on their case if they look too liberal in 2029.

I don’t think that this “new party” is going to happen. Dead on its feet.

I think too much political capital has been put into it for it not to happen in some form. But I'll believe the radical model of members choosing all the policies when I see it. How could you possible put together anything like an economic prospectus on that basis? I'll believe it from The Greens when I see it too.
