Her other half, Andrew Mackay, was my MP when I lived in Bracknell.
The pair of them rinsed the expenses system. From memory they claimed separate properties as their second home and double dipped by both claiming their own and their spouses's travel expenses.
Pair of cunts.

Just listening to Times Radio, and they have the former Conservative MP for Bromsgrove Julie Kirkbride (remember her?) on, and it’s embarrassing. She very clearly doesn’t have the first idea about anything she’s being asked to comment on.
But then, as I recall, she never did. Why they drag out these hideous numpties and seek their opinions is a huge mystery.
As Edwina Currie is still wheeled out as a talking head, there must be a massive number of former Tory MPs who don't ever want to be quoted again. Sir Bufron Tufton seems happy to tend his garden and play golf for the rest of his days.
Not being related to Ann 'Diedre from Corrie' Kirkbride is all I can recall about Julie. Very thin gruel.

Massive number of current Tory MPs don’t seem like they could be bothered.
The US media have what’s called “surrogates”, people who aren’t usually politicians but who can be relied upon to give a party position. That might solve a problem like Julie Kirkbride.

How many of the current 116 were there when Cameron walked and have maintained radio silence since? Half a dozen left who look at the garden every spring for shoots of sanity only to find despair and disappointment.

And how many of current Tory MP’s, or the children of previous ones, have gone through the scheme?

Erasmus for the redbrick strivers.
Fulbright Scholarships to the USA for the Oxbridge "born to rule" brigade.

Ha ha ha, Seriously, this is where the Conservative Party now are?
Do they think that the EU actually teach the courses at the universities?

I joked when it was announced that the right wing press would be furious because the last thing it needs is a educated generation of readers that has wide cultural horizons.

It’s also ignorant that the European Parliament is generally to the right.

Goes back years. Anything coming out of Brussels would be labelled as EU propaganda, regardless of actual content.

I think there might be a diminishing audience for that. If the Government make progress on trade, are the Tories going to run on making it harder to export farm produce?

Actual Tory frontbencher. What's AI got to do with "champagne socialism"? What should Rachel Reeves and Liz Kendall use it for exactly? Does Julia Lopez use AI for composing tweets?
And maybe more people have been employed to stop stuff all falling to bits?
Actually as someone points out BTL, AI stuff is FOIAble. I don't know if Liz Kendall or Rachel Reeves use it, but I can see why they might not say so.

Julia, of course, was an opponent of Theresa May's Brexit Deal and preferred No Deal. She didn't like the EU's "intransigence over the NI Backstop", but nonetheless voted for Bozo's Customs Border in the Irish Sea, which can't have involved any Ireland-related EU intransigence. But in fairness, she showed her diplomatic genius by offering the EU "a standstill zero-tariff trading arrangement while we negotiate a comprehensive free trade agreement over three years". Or as it was otherwise known, No Deal.
She was guided by this principle.
I desperately want us to be able to deliver Brexit, but Brexit needs to be more than a word - it must deliver on the spirit of the referendum
Was this spirit of the referendum on the ballot paper?
