and sure enough, the Trust has just issued an emergency bulletin to all staff warning everyone to be vigilant. I've actually got tears in my eyes. How the fuck has it come to this.

Man weeps in court as seven are charged with violent disorder in Hartlepool

A man cried in court as he and his partner admitted joining in the disorder that broke out in Hartlepool on Wednesday night.

Steven Mailen, 54, of Elliott Street, Hartlepool, and Ryan Sheers, 28, of Powlett Street, each admitted a single charge of violent disorder during a series of hearings for seven defendants at Teesside Magistrates' Court.

Paul Doney, prosecuting, said around 200 people gathered on Wednesday in the town centre and police were deployed to maintain order.

The march moved towards mosques and a community centre, Mr Doney said, and officers came under attack from bricks, eggs and other weapons.

Disorder lasted for several hours and a police car was torched, the prosecution said.

Mailen was "constantly in the face of officers" and was gesticulating towards them, shouting, until he was struck on the leg by an officer's extendable baton.

His partner Sheers, who wept during the hearing, was then bitten on the hip by a police dog, the court heard.

He had been trying to push through the police cordon, shouting and refusing to move away.

The defendants, who have no previous convictions, were granted bail by District Judge Helen Cousins to appear before Teesside Crown Court for sentencing on September 2.

Sheers, formerly a McDonalds worker, was emotional and said: "Thank you judge, thank you."

The pair covered their faces as they left court.

When asked why they got involved, Sheers replied: "Didn't get involved in nothing."

Asked about his actions, he replied: "We didn't smash no town up."

Asked if they regretted getting involved, he said: "We didn't get involved."

Asked why they pleaded guilty, Sheers said: "Wrong place, wrong time, sir."

Five other defendants were remanded in custody to appear before the same court on the same day.

Anthony Allen, 42, of Ormesby Road, Hartlepool, was charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.

James Elliott, 41, of Raby Road, Hartlepool, was with him in the dock, charged with violent disorder.

Peter Clark, 47, of no fixed address, appearing separately, was charged with violent disorder and exposure after allegedly showing his buttocks and genitalia to police.

No pleas were entered to any of the charges.

John Barton, 33, of Duke Street, Hartlepool, and Dylan Wiley, 28, of St Catherine's Court, appeared in the dock together at Teesside Magistrates' Court, charged with violent disorder.

Wiley is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon, namely a plank of wood.

Mr Doney, prosecuting, said Barton threw bricks at the police and was arrested after he was bitten by a police dog.

The prosecution said Wylie was caught on body-worn camera footage throwing missiles, shouting at police and threatening to hit them with a large piece of wood.

They denied the charges.

Probably the worst timing for them in terms of who's PM when they decided to do this shit.

That description sounds very much like the footage currently doing the rounds on Twatter - one bloke struck on the leg by a police baton, and then a few seconds later his shouty mate getting set upon by a police dog.

Oh, and he wasn’t bitten “on the hip” by the dog, it was very much on his arse from what I could see

Hearing them screaming about police brutality when they're literally squaring up and attacking the police is amazing.

"Two-tier policing" is their current and clearly coordinated battle cry, all at a time when the Tactical Head Stamp Unit has suddenly gone on its hollibobs.

The report indicates a pattern.
Poor liars and low achievers.
Very similar to their cheerleaders on social media.

I'll take bets on how long before Joey Barton speaks his branez.

I think Joey Barton is still counting the costs of being a Twitter gobshite! Bloke's lost over £100k so far and counting, and there's still more cases coming his way!

We've seen this all before, though, and it's not as worrying as some people (understandably) think it is. They get all hyped up and ballsy because they think the whole country is behind them based on their Twitter feed. Get away with a couple of skirmishes and then the police realise what they're dealing with and go in hard. Then there'll be a big thing on GBNews about kettling, two tier policing, double standards etc etc and they'll all slink off again until the next time.

It's not the battering from the police that scares them off as much as those 5:00am knocks at the door, in front of their families, names being published and employers finding out. That's what really shits them up and makes them cry in court like the above example. Fuck 'em.

Not full of praise for Cameron, to say the least, but he dealt with the 2011 riots quite well. This'll hopefully be 10x that considering the background of our current PM!

Not rioters. Scousers making a human shield around the local mosque:

It is funny that there are dickheads in Sunderland wearing balaclavas.

Two more weeks the football season will start and most of these f*ckwits will find other things to focus on.

We're gonna need a few extra prisons.

Recall that remote Scottish Island that some Islamist preacher wanted to buy as an education camp.
I was reminded when Tommeh launched a crowdfunder for a competing bid as a "christian centre".

Bunch of Nissen Huts, shovels to dig your own peat, and one boat per week delivering 2500 calories per man day.

Then let the courts backlog take its course while they await their trials.

We’re going to be buried alive in this kind of journalism over the coming days.

When describing last nights riots in Sunderland both Sky News and BBC News said that the disturbance was 'believed to be linked to events in Southport earlier in the week.' Linked in what way? The young man who carried out the attack in Southport was a British citizen, born in Cardiff with no links to Islam. The riots this week have targeted Mosques and immigrants. It would be more accurate to say that the riots were linked to the disturbances in London last Saturday.

It was only nine months ago these twats were marching for a punch up at the Cenotaph under the Home Secretary’s approval. Politically, it hasn’t gone well for them since. Glad they really hate Starmer, hope it proves justified.

Tommy Ten-Names is going down the tried and tested route of saying where and when to meet but not actually, specifically, saying what to do when you get there.

Yup. The entirely predictable outcome of Braverman and her enablers wittering on about a woke-commie-Islamic takeover of our streets; a bunch of tanked-to-the-gills fuckwits rocking up at the Cenotaph, spoiling for a ruck, only to discover that they had no one to fight with except the police.

I’m no law and order guy, but if I’d been charged with policing that mess I would’ve been fucking furious.

Just seen 'Stop The Boats' banners in the exact style and font used on Sunak's rostrum

That's where it's coming from, it's not just Fargle.

What does Farage do from here? His electoral base isn't like the online one. It's old people who think there are too many lager louts in Yarmouth. They aren't going to be impressed by riots across the country. The way he's going, he's not going to keep his voters, let alone take over the Tory party.

The danger is of course that he gives up on "uniting the right" altogether, to put himself at the head (at a very safe distance, of course) of his online street rough fans. God know where that could lead.

On the other hand, a load of people get banged up quickly, and it drops away.

The lads alliance ran into a spot of bother in Blackpool where punks gathered for an annual event. Looked like a good old fashioned bank holiday punch up.

Things may well get bleak for Nigel, the job with President Trump is looking unlikely.
