Hannah Spencer has a point though. I actually thought that being three-sheets was a decent strategy for selling your auntie Diane a Nissan Micra - it was - but times have changed.

I don't regret those wonderful years, but there is no room for alcohol and the exotics in good decision-making.

(For the avoidance of doubt; we still have a fag and a bonding beer at work, before we close the business down for the evening.)

At the end of the day, mind, Hannah would be well-advised to invest in a decent hair conditioner which hasn't been tested on animals - or Javier Milei.

Spencer would have a point if she was right. Is Labour really still full of fat gutted ex trade union hacks supping up their twelfth pint before the lobby bell rings? Or alcoholic shire Tories in bow ties on their second bottle of decent malt. I'm not convinced.

BTL on the Guardian would have made the Puritans/Sally Army proud with their stance on alcohol in the workplace, especially where MPs are concerned.

I will very likely run into my MP socially in a few weeks' time: I'll ask him what he thinks.

Mothin has a very good gardening channel on YouTube. This is the pay grade Greens should stick to. Perhaps he could invite Jezza on as a guest gardener, he has plenty of time now Your Party has imploded.

Two Green candidates arrested for antisemitic posts - cue outrage "antisemitism is only bad when Farage does it" etc

The £15 minimum wage is just something they pinched from American politics.

To be honest I can't see much to argue with there.

All good. Apart from the fact that actual Hitler cheerleaders are now calling Jews ringmasters for anti-Semites.

And fash are calling other fash Israeli agents while Fash Lite are both Zionist agents and Islamic stooges. It's a confusing time to be a racist.

I doubt Dacre lies awake at night worrying about careless talk threatening Jewish safety in Golder's Green, so why's the Mail got a bee in their bonnet about the Greens?
The Mail's generally given the Greens an easy ride as they eat into the Labour vote and back rural and suburban nimbyism against housebuilding. But maybe the grandkids who don't usually vote like what they hear from Zack about social house building policies. That's not good for sustaining house price inflation for those who own houses.

Perhaps the Greens win in Gorton has given them the willies. Shown that Farage and Reform aren't the all-conquering force that they and other media promote them as.

Using fuel rations to service the greatest number of people sounds reasonable enough. Zack could tell everyone to go camping on a tandem like Terry Scott and his wife* but I doubt it would make much impact.
* Reference to Carry on Camping, a bawdy late 60s comedy film popular with the working classes, m'lud.

While it's amusing to see Zack getting his comeuppance, I can't but think what a better world it would be if all emerging populists got such immediate coverage.
