Remember when your bought a newspaper from the newsagents? Put a few coins on the counter and that daily edition was yours. Would you have bought that paper if the newsagent asked you fill in a form and charge you a monthly subscription?
I have signed up to subscriptions but I don’t use them every day and then forget to cancel them. I don’t expect news to be produced for free so how can newspapers improve their funding model? Why don’t they have a daily subscription price? I wouldn’t mind paying that.
