If you’re in Runcorn, you have a choice of remarkable 15 candidates. Quite a few are right -wing twat Farage wannabes, with of course, the actual Farage candidate there too. Fairly surprised to see a “Re-join the EU” candidate. It’ll be interesting to see how many votes he attracts.

The Liberal Party have some interesting tax policies. £20,000 personal allowance, VAT at 10%, inheritance tax 25% (from £1m only), company VAT threshold raised to £150k, higher Corporation tax threshold.

Never fear, Land Value Tax (and a few other small rises on now) sort it all out.

And they're bringing back the Gold Standard.

The Engllsh Constitution Party are as you'd expect.

"We demand the prosecution of all state officials under Section 134 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 for torture. "

I'd guess Covid restrictions, but you never know with card carrying ranters. It could be anything. Abolishing corporal punishment in state schools might be a good each-way bet.

There's really only one reason.

"Those who acquiesced, consented, omitted, or acted to cause the rape of white working-class English girls, primarily by Pakistani Muslim men, must face trial—not just a public inquiry. Section 6 mandates a life sentence upon a guilty verdict, with no judicial discretion. Life means life.
State officials include MPs, Lords, judges, Crown Prosecution Service staff, ministers, prime ministers, police, and council officials."

Here's their policies if you want a laugh. Absolutely batshit, Magna-Carta waving loonies.

Not so fast, now, their taxation policy sounds awesome. A 10% flat rate which will be voluntary as there will be no PAYE and which is very successful elsewhere, particularly in Hong Kong, apparently.

I note that they advocate "right to try" on medication, and re-education of doctors. I suspect that explains a lot.

Fiat currency sounds an innocuous descriptive term for a currency without a fixed value but it always seems to be swivel loons who use the label. If currencies did return to a Gold Standard, the same morons would invent ludicrous conspiracies about government gold stocks manipulation (they do already).

A term most often used (usually negatively) by those who are very much into planet-trashing crypto currencies.
