"Silence in the corridor" isn't exactly some completely new idea. Nor is detention. `Nor is calling kids "lazy" when they're lazy. Nor indeed is putting up marks on the wall.
Yes, but his detentions are on Friday evenings and Saturday Mornings.

Jeebus. I just had a horrific flash-vision : Lee Anderson as Home Secretary.

In fact, Lee Anderson as fucking anything. Aaaaargh.

Is that guy purporting to believe that dyslexia is just laziness? No way does he actually believe that. Like he's got a dyslexic kid who's entitled to extra time in an exam, and he tells them they aren't allowed it?

St Thomas the Apostle College is a Voluntary Aided Secondary School in the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. The school is conducted by its governing body as part of the Catholic Church in accordance with its trust deed and instrument of government.

Catholic families will be admitted above all others but, the College does have a considerable number of practising Christians, those of other faiths and those of no faith on its roll.
So not quite your average inner city comp then.

Does the Archbishop of Southwark know you're dicking around playing Miss Birbalbollocks.

They were inspected last year, and got Outstanding. The Head Teacher was called Eamon Connolly.
I saw that when I Googled it. Not sure what's going on, there.

It looks like Serge Cefai is the Executive head, which probably explains why he has so much time to be used as a rent-a-gob in tabloid newspapers and on day time TV.

We had an executive head at the last secondary school I worked at. He used to visit the school a couple of times a week, he would wander around the school doing a lot of scowling, he rarely spoke to teachers let a lone teaching assistants and then he would report back to the head before whizzing off in his posh car with the personal registration plate 'DAZZA1' A complete waste of a £100,000 salary.

I wonder what sort of parent sends their offspring to a school where the Head "declares war" on his/her customers.

As opposed to holding on to your phone in any other City? Another privileged white man who hasn’t a clue what London is actually like.

I didn’t like him anyhow, often punches down and I find that comedy pathetic.

This with his “Dutch vodka” doesn’t particularly make me want to revisit him, Dutch Vodka made with English Apples in North Yorkshire.

It’s like the alternative all those things often labelled British.

It’s strange. I’ve quite liked a lot of Gervaise’s later work, particularly “After Life” and some of his stand up, but I watched less than half of one episode of “The Office”, the show that supposedly made him, instantly thought “What a fucking wanker” (both the character and Gervaise himself),and never watched any more. To date, I haven’t seen a single episode of “The Office”.

Tries to justify it as clever ironic humour that his critics take out of context. There's another poster that TfL withdrew about stab vests. And of course he whines about being cancelled. "oo I'm a rich white comedian being oppressed by the wokes, its not fair. I'm going to have to do a multi-million Dollar Netflix special called Cancelled."
He does lots of good work against animal cruelty, so there are much worse people to rail at.

That's the thing.
I saw his animals shows, interesting and funny.
But so much of his work seems to be in that "cringe" genre.

It's my observation that the USA does it better and it flops in a British context.
Much as the Brits tend to excel at the absurd, and few Americans can pull it off.

Shout out to Terry Gilliam, who was both American and a Python - but renounced his citizenship in 2006.

I just have an issue with those who punch down, I don't mind if its because they are a knob, like Partiridge is a dick but thats made clear. He's not the worse but it's another celebrity like that knobhead dancer AJ Pritchard who claim to speak from authority about a London I simply don't recognise.

I did see a phone get snatched in London, but I've seen one snatched in Lisbon. It's a major city and it has crime but my major concern is the amount of homeless on the street. Of course crime figures will never trump a white priviledged comedian on TV.

And I do wonder what the issue so many white people have about a Liberal Muslim Mayor.

He rails against celebs using their fame to push their pet causes, then does exactly that himself. From what I've seen of his stand-up, he's what the US labels "sophomore" in extremis - everything is shit, point out the obvious as if you're the first person to notice it, repeat the point in case anyone missed it.

The Office was just a collection of cliches about workplace culture mixed with a few old jokes, served up as "what if all these things happened at the same place?", just as Extras was a collection of stereotypes about actors and creatives. The other things he did that seem to consist of him and Stephen Merchant ringing a guy and telling him to go somewhere, while they laugh uproariously, just look like a load of wank. And there was that time when he'd just appear at something, do his daft dance, and that was it.

Far as I can see, a massive wanker.
