Sarah Ferguson is an odd person who I don't care for. I'm not sure why the criticism for her daughters visiting a convicted paedophile is directed at her and not them though, seeing as they were 19 and 20 at the time. 19 and 20 year olds can be prison officers, dealing with paedophiles every day. I'm sure the education they were privileged to receive has ensured they aren't that dumb as to not be aware. They visited him, that's on them. There's plenty of other criticism to lob at their weird mother.

Because she's not popular and one day her daughters might be.

“Unprecedented” statement from King Chaz today, inwhich all he said was that he was “very concerned” about his brother’s behaviour, and said that he would co-operate with the police investigations if they asked him to.

That’s not unprecedented. Unprecedented would have been if he’d said “Well, we’ve all known for years that Andrew was a disgusting perverted nonce, and I’m more than happy to dob him in now so that he gets what’s coming to him.”

I think you're wrong. I would suggest that keeping it all in house would have been the previous way of doing things. Making any kind of statement on this is 'unprecedented'.
They know that noncery is currently the biggest taboo in society, just as being Catholic or being a Witch or being a Jew was in the past. They know what the public will put up with, and what they won't.

Well yes, that’s true about the noncery taboo, but the obvious fly in the ointment of Chaz’s attempts to cast his brother into the outer darkness and distance himself and Willie from him is that he, and Brenda and Willie, and Annie and Eddie, all must have had full knowledge of Andrew’s noncing activities for years, and did nothing about it (except for Brenda, who infamously slipped her son a cool 12 million knicker to pay Virginia Giuffre to shut up and go away).

Agree with all that but what you're describing is the precedent ie sweep it under the carpet and hope it blows over. That is precisely why it is accurate to describe yesterday's statement as "unprecedented" *

*I certainly can't think of a precedent, can you?

Yeah, good point. I can’t get past the shocking cover-up of the noncery that they all bloody knew about, though. It really is outrageous. Even the sainted Brenda, who willingly contributed a fucking fortune in the interests of covering the abuse up. Now that she’s dead, but even while she was still drawing breath, this country’s cringeing cult of royalty was easily forgiving of that borderline criminal course of action.

I imagine Brenda saw Giuffre as another Paul Burrell or Crawfie - someone hoping to cash in on royal connections. Pay them off, keep schtum, it'll blow over. The royal family has weathered many scandals over the years, and she probably thought it was just another thing.

The Mail royal correspondent Richard Eden has shown himself to be an utter shit this week. He posted a tweet saying that over the last 10 years he had met Beatrice and Eugenie at a number of events and that they had proved a useful source of information, but after reading extracts from the Epstein files he no longer wants anything to do with them.

Whilst Andrew and Fergie come out of the Epstein files very badly I can't see what their two daughters did wrong other than going to visit Epstein with their mum. Presumably the visit to Epstein was just part of a trip they took with Fergie and when they agreed to go with her they may not have even known that part of the trip involved meeting Epstein.

Eden has just basically admitted using them for his own ends before dumping them when things got a bit messy. Thankfully plenty of people responded to the post telling him what a shit he is.

There does appear to be a new universally accepted standard (which I’m not saying is wrong) whereby anyone that has ever had even the most nebulous connection or past association with the execrable scumbag (dead) paedophile Jeffrey Epstein is instantly accorded the status of global pariah who must immediately be stripped of any public office or honorarium they may hold. Unless they are Donald Trump.
