Oh he's mentioning Chagos again... he doesn't know what day it is and it's best the press ignore him on this as hes contradicted himself several times in the last 3 weeks,

Just heard this on the BBC news, yesterday Trump was literally praising the sale, today he's urging Starmer not to sell.

Mystery solved, Trump's spat the dummy because Starmer has refused the use of British bases to commit war crimes.

If Gulf states follow suit and refuse the use of US bases in their countries, that's another massive humiliation for American power following the Greenland confrontation. The dwindling band of Republicans who still wear big boy trousers are going to be despondent.

It's Schroedinger's Chagos Deal.
* Brilliant when the Tories negotiated it.
* Terrible when their successors deliver on the agreement.

What happened to Kemi's security briefing that Starmer offered her? She went quiet about it for a while afterwards. We also seem to be free of latter day Peter Wrights leaking to latter day Chapman Pinchers about how terrible the deal is. So I'm included to think it's OK.

For years, the Times highlighted the case of the Chagossians, how hard done by they were, and why there was no reason to maintain a bunch of islands thousands of miles away just so we could bomb the Arabs (after all, what is Cyprus for?). This was going on until at least 2015. Wonder what happened then?

Has he overruled the Supreme Court and ordered the arrest of the judges yet?
What are the consequences if Trump ignores the ruling, the Dems in Congress write strongly worded op-eds in the Washington Post?

Would the people who get charged them not be able to just tell the Customs to fuck off? Or does the stuff just get physically prevented from leaving ports until they pay?

Why do that when you can sue them for Ten Beeljion Dollars?

I think Trump's donors will be very happy with this decision, so he'll have to be as well. Unless he's even more uncontrollable than I thought he was.
