He doesn't seem to be as laid back in recent months. Seems quite curt at times. He was trying to copy his master at a recent press conference when he had a swipe at the FT journo asking him a question (which he avoided answering). That style won't wash over here in the long term. Trump's personality, as deeply unpleasant as it is, is big. I get the impression the journos in his conferences are scared of him, if not him personally then the repercussions once the conference is over. Farage can deflect, but if he keeps up with that confrontational style it will backfire with voters. Unlike Trump, he's not got a big enough hardcore base to get away with it.

Farage sticking it to the woke healthy lifestyle namby-pambys does mean he's looking 73 rather than 63 and its likely to be his last election.
It's Johnson all over again, with less women and more racism. They don't care about anything other than he's a bit of a laugh and he understands us. He doesn't, but he says he does and that's the main thing.
The lower quartile prioritise soap opera entertainment over mature governance.
This isn't an original observation.
"Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer, and above all, gambling, filled up the horizon of their minds.
To keep them in control was not difficult."

It is probably just about legal simply because there are no elections taking place at the moment in the area.

Outside purdah (which we are), I don't think they're breaking any laws. Shame.

I think the people of Worcestershire regret voting for Reform Nigel.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93wv0ylq9yo
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has said he wishes the party "hadn't bothered" to take minority control of Worcestershire County Council, because of its financial problems.

The Reform-led authority recently approved a council tax rise of almost 9%, one of the largest in its history, in a bid to balance its books and avoid effective bankruptcy amid a budget shortfall.

When questioned about the decision to increase tax, which is higher than the standard 5% normally allowed, Farage said the party had inherited the council and "didn't make it bankrupt".

"Worcestershire, I have to say, we took minority control of a virtually bankrupt council, I wish we hadn't bothered," he said.

When asked whether he wished his party had not won Worcestershire at the polls last year, Farage said: "No, no, no - we didn't win the election, we formed a coalition and we were always [going to be] on a hiding to nothing.

"Take Worcestershire out, because of exceptional circumstances."

A Reform UK spokesman, addressing Farage's comments, said the party had "stepped up" and had done its "civic duty".

He added: "Despite inheriting a catastrophic mess from the Tories and a council that had to be propped up by government bailouts, our team has fought hard to deliver a responsible budget and avoid raising council tax to the maximum."
