He's insane.
Yep. The idea that eg Bangladeshis working their arses off providing Americans with cheap (and reasonable quality) clothes were ripping them off was a particular favourite of mine.

Whoever follows this cretin into the White House is going to have a lot of hard work to do.
Hopefully by then enough damage will have been done to America's reputation that people just say "no thanks, we'll look elsewhere" and adopt an "America Last" policy.

May not stop people buying their stupid egg-shaped EVs but we can live in hope.

I see the ballroom has stalled, if that gets built I will be surprised.

Assume there will be no block if he goes to Congress, however the mid terms may weigh heavy and if he can't get it through by then well....

I just wish they'd fuck off to the US and leave us in peace.

I'm reminded of the URL of that sadly now-defunct website - ifyoulikeitsomuchwhydontyougoandlivethere.com....

Well, yes. Reform's poll lead has been on a downward path ever since Trump launched his war.

The really interesting question is how many of the 77,000 chumps that voted for Trump in November '25 are now starting to realise just what the consequences of their bonkers choice are.

Trump’s approval ratings are in the mid 30s which aren't unusual for a POTUS in their mid term. The GOP will take a dip in the mid term Congressional elections but again that's to be expected. The US electorate who gave Trump a convincing majority knew exactly who they were voting for. Day one of his second presidency was the time to stop this liberal wish fulfillment delusion that American voters would come to their senses.

Lots don't. Hard to underestimate the crank bubble that they're in. My sister met some people in Texas recently who proceeded to lecture her about the state of London. They didn't want to go there because it was overrun by immigrant gangs. I expect they've been to San Antonio, and like me, very much enjoyed visiting the Alamo, the riverfront, and the rest of it. San Antonio has a murder rate nearly 8 times the rate of London's 2025 rate, and Dallas and Houston's are over 11 times as much (both of which are well worth visiting btw). And those rates are likely much reduced from the 70s-80s-90s.

"But we'd like to go to The Cotswolds".
