Reminds me of the days when "defund the police" was a thing. Lots of that was sensible about funding social services more, but there was a side to it that wasn't. One proposal was along the lines of 'gang war? you don't need cops! pay some self-appointed group to persuade the gangs not to fight!"

I once interviewed a very amiable libertarian guy, who'd written something about privatizing the Police. He was to say the least a mixed bag, but he approved strongly of the Human Rights Act, and had respect for libertarian leftists.

Mark Adderley, who is standing in Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood, also suggested some drones fired at Gulf states could be Israeli “false flag” attacks and blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for the Hatzola ambulance attack.
