Julia, of course, was an opponent of Theresa May's Brexit Deal and preferred No Deal. She didn't like the EU's "intransigence over the NI Backstop", but nonetheless voted for Bozo's Customs Border in the Irish Sea, which can't have involved any Ireland-related EU intransigence. But in fairness, she showed her diplomatic genius by offering the EU "a standstill zero-tariff trading arrangement while we negotiate a comprehensive free trade agreement over three years". Or as it was otherwise known, No Deal.

She was guided by this principle.
