The question you must ask yourself though is "how much ad revenue would he have generated for ITV?"

Incidentally, the Strines are sacking the show off, or "resting" it as they now call it.
Farage is good box office - with apologies to James O'Brien, that's not opinion, that's counting.
I once saw a graph of Question Time viewing figures for the 2010s, usually pretty flat but with huge spikes every time Farage was on.
It'll be the same for the other political shows. The assumption that Farage's appearance on TV proves the political bias of the broadcaster, programme or presenter overlooks the fact that TV success is measured in viewing figures.
It's grim that there's no progressive politician who attracts as much attention, but that's where we are.
