Whenever fringe party does better then expected in council elections there's always a bit of wastage from surprise winners who never thought they'd actually have top do the job, but this level seems unprecedented.

The man who said "the Conservative party is over"? A strong Tory leader would tell him to do one. Over to you, Kemi.

Has Kruger discovered Devizes will still vote Conservative without him? Isn't that a military constituency? Maybe Danny has discovered a few national security problems behind Nige's patriotism.

I did suspect some issues arising when they were able to get the most candidates to run, Labour were second and were asking people to stand as paper candidates (And not just the basics of delivering one leaflet and nothing else, they just wanted your name and they would put you forward), and Labour have a membership list to work from, Reform is effectively just people signing up to a mailing list.

And finding themselves elected. The Greens may well have the same problem.

Meanwhile in Birmingham, the newly elected Reform group has written to the Lord Mayor with a burning grievance. For clarity, English translations of the verses were recited at both the Mayor-making ceremony (the new Lord Mayor is muslim) and the council AGM. More evidence of what happens when pig-ignorant bigots get elected.

If they want meetings conducted entirely in English it would be helpful if they could write a letter in it.

Reform, the party of buddist peaceniks
A newly elected Reform UK councillor in Barnsley has been pictured with what appears to be a swastika tattoo visible on his arm, in a series of publicly accessible Facebook photographs spanning almost a decade.

Andy Arnold’s wife and fellow Reform UK councillor, Theresa, has claimed the tattoo is a ‘misunderstood’ buddhist peace symbol. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/swastika ... dExghW9aRf

Reform councillor assaulted woman while working pub doors
A Reform UK councillor who vowed to try and address anti-social behaviour and "people feeling unsafe" during her campaign was convicted of assault four months before the local elections.

Bouncer Emma Beck, 47, was found guilty of assault by beating after shoving a woman in her 60s to the floor while working the doors at a bar in St Helens, Merseyside.

There is a symbol that looks like a swastika but it is actually a Hindu symbol, so his wife is either lying through her teeth or just very thick.

I know the one you mean: I've seen it used in early 1930s books at the corners of text borders - I even have a radio set where it is at the corners of the loudspeaker opening.

Unlike the Hakenkreuz, it has four dots within.

I think that it is pretty easy to spot the difference between those two symbols. If the councillor released a picture of the original tattoo people could quickly decide if he is telling the truth.

Apparently it is also a Buddist symbol.

From Wiki
" the swastika remains a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and other Asian communities."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

It's used in various forms, including some which are similar to the Nazi version, unfortunately the Star haven't published the photo so we can judge for ourselves.
