Charles does appear to be good at this king job. I know it's not a high bar and he's been groomed for it all his life but expected him to be mouthing off above his pay grade and bumbling into a constitutional crisis with the government of the day. A view I held before seeing Michael Kitchen in To Play the King but that encapsulated it.
And he pisses off Tommeh's Tearaways.

For me, the best part was in one speech which needs to be repeated to every Yank who says "If it wasn't for us you'd all be speaking German" - and that was his retort of "well if it wasn't for us, you'd all be speaking French."

Or if it wasn't for the French you'd still be speaking English.

Right. So, according to Charles Spencer (the late Princess Di's brother), who has a book to sell (of course), nearly 30 years ago King Charlie said that poor dead Diana would pretty soon be forgotten.

Charlie's PR people have suggested, in kind of high-falutin' language, that Spencer is telling lies.

Who is telling the truth?

Who gives a tuppenny fuck?
