Lucky Kemi has time for this stuff. At least Braverman doesn't have a major government portfolio she's skipping.

It also secured peace with the Netherlands, who were England's main competitors in aggressive colonialism (Spain by this stage was past its conquistador heyday and was trying to hang onto a bloated empire while ruefully admitting that you can't eat gold).

I see Kemi's being doing her "trade is booming" lark. In the course of her duties, she retweeted this. Absolute tripe, where "trade volumes" is understood to mean the physical volume of objects traded.

And even if it were true, one might have expect Kemi to make this argument at the dispatch box, not retweeting some online bozo.

What odds can I get on Badeonch joining Fujitsu's board if Saffron Walden's voters replace her?

A history repeat of Louise Mensch (greatest misnomer since Cleverley).
She jumped ship form the Leveson enquiry to accept a plumb Manhattan job with the Murdoch organisation.

Didn’t know that, I assumed she married Metallica’s manager for better quality coke. Which to be fair is a better offer than being a Tory MP.

Kemi seems to have found her level. Appealing to the gammon who read the Express.

Not content to concentrate her massive expertise on international trade, Kemi’s now telling directors how to run their businesses. Quite the polymath.

I think that’s exactly what is wrong with this.

Business, NGOs etc are now run by people who are more "woke" than the Tory Party, simply because they're younger than the Tory base.

Cameron must be doing his nut at this rubbish. For all his faults, he did understand that the Tory party should at least look like it was living in the present.

Johnny Mercer suggesting the Tories should put more of their “leading light” such as Badenoch, not sure if he has seen any of her comments this past week.
