Sadiq may have tried to dismiss her, but his record tells another story entirely. His mayoralty has been shaped by her opposition, whether he likes it or not. Just look at his ruling out of pay-per-mile, a policy he had supported so much it appeared in his own book.

He did kind of thrash her in the election.

I'm actually surprised how far Khan got with pay per mile. Always thought it was very unlikely, and haven't heard about it more recently.

More generally, the Assembly isn't a very powerful or high profile body. Hall was both mayoral candidate and top of the list, so perhaps we should afford her some responsibility for the fact they lost a seat last time and have only 8 out of 25 members. Doubtless she's going to be as all of the detail as she was in the mayoral campaign.

All I remember from it was that she claimed falsely that her purse had been stolen I think.

If I was being kind I would say she genuinely dropped it, if I wasn't I reckon she was hoping it wouldn't show its face again either ending up in the TFL Lost property department that things never come back out of or someone would just take it.

Sadly for her she misjudged londoners and one proved that by handing it in, everything she ran on was just hateful bullshit that appeals to a small number of bellends on the east side who probably haven't been to central for a decade.

She also had an "interesting" Twitter history, better suited to running in an Alabama Republican primary, made silly dog whistles about Sadiq Khan not liking women, and bet the house on ULEZ which worked better in Uxbridge than London as a whole.

She was a worse candidate than Shaun Bailey, who was worse than Zac Goldsmith.

They have trouble getting anybody much to stand in London, which I don't understand. It's very hard to win, but surely a good platform longer term. Of all the business people in London, lots even now will be Conservative supporters. Is it really so hard to find an Andy Street among them?
