As long as Farage can continue unchallenged with his cheeky chappy spiel on the national media, it doesn't matter in the opinion polls who his troops are.
Reform's racist campaign in Scotland towards Sarwar and Humza Yousaf has been particularly nasty and if it didn't effect Zia Yusuf's resignation decision than shame on him.

How's the improved stricter vetting process coming along?

A Reform UK councillor has been suspended by his party just over a month after being elected.

The party said there were "a number of concerns" about Adam Smith, who sits on West Northamptonshire Council...

... A spokesperson for the party said: "Following a number of concerns regarding the conduct of councillor Adam Smith, the whip has been suspended pending an internal investigation. We cannot comment further at this time."

I see that Reform’s newest MP, Sarah Poachin’, has gone right in with both feet in her first appearance at PMQs, asking Starmer to “ban the burqua”. Even though that is expressly NOT Reform UK policy. And even though hardly any women in the UK wear “the burqua” at all. A few wear the abaya, and some favour the niqab, but there really aren’t more than a handful coming out in fashion solidarity with their sisters in Afghanistan.

No doubt Poachin’ thought she was being smart (Starmer batted the question away with barely a blink).

What she actually did was reveal that in common with most of her fellow Deform colleagues, she is as thick as shite in the neck of a bottle.

Not their stated policy, anyway.

Some of the Twitter responses to Zia Yusuf's resignation are quite revealing. A lot of the racists in the party seem extremely happy that he has resigned while other Reform supporters have referred to him as a 'Trojan horse'.

While Zia was party chairman he acted as a fig leaf for the party, Farage and co. could claim that having Zia as party chairman was proof that the party wasn't racist. No he has gone the party will struggle to deal with claims that the party is racist.

They won't care. Farage does whatever he wants and his fans lap it up.

Likely Yusuf's negotiated himself a more powerful role which won't go down well with the racist nutters in the party (+85 percent?).

Somebody (Vic Derbyshire ?) needs to press him about what he meant by “no longer a good use of my time”.

Basically an unelected busybody. It thought that was a reason why the Brexit rabble hated the EU so much.
