As long as Farage can continue unchallenged with his cheeky chappy spiel on the national media, it doesn't matter in the opinion polls who his troops are.
Reform's racist campaign in Scotland towards Sarwar and Humza Yousaf has been particularly nasty and if it didn't effect Zia Yusuf's resignation decision than shame on him.

How's the improved stricter vetting process coming along?

A Reform UK councillor has been suspended by his party just over a month after being elected.

The party said there were "a number of concerns" about Adam Smith, who sits on West Northamptonshire Council...

... A spokesperson for the party said: "Following a number of concerns regarding the conduct of councillor Adam Smith, the whip has been suspended pending an internal investigation. We cannot comment further at this time."

I see that Reform’s newest MP, Sarah Poachin’, has gone right in with both feet in her first appearance at PMQs, asking Starmer to “ban the burqua”. Even though that is expressly NOT Reform UK policy. And even though hardly any women in the UK wear “the burqua” at all. A few wear the abaya, and some favour the niqab, but there really aren’t more than a handful coming out in fashion solidarity with their sisters in Afghanistan.

No doubt Poachin’ thought she was being smart (Starmer batted the question away with barely a blink).

What she actually did was reveal that in common with most of her fellow Deform colleagues, she is as thick as shite in the neck of a bottle.

Not their stated policy, anyway.

Some of the Twitter responses to Zia Yusuf's resignation are quite revealing. A lot of the racists in the party seem extremely happy that he has resigned while other Reform supporters have referred to him as a 'Trojan horse'.

While Zia was party chairman he acted as a fig leaf for the party, Farage and co. could claim that having Zia as party chairman was proof that the party wasn't racist. No he has gone the party will struggle to deal with claims that the party is racist.

They won't care. Farage does whatever he wants and his fans lap it up.

Likely Yusuf's negotiated himself a more powerful role which won't go down well with the racist nutters in the party (+85 percent?).

Basically an unelected busybody. It thought that was a reason why the Brexit rabble hated the EU so much.

How popular is populism? A funny article to laugh about on a Sunday morning:

Reform UK struggles to find friends to share council power

Reform UK's success in the recent local elections has propelled many councillors with limited or no political experience into council chambers across England.

While Reform UK's rise was the big story of those elections, almost half of the councils up for grabs were not won outright by any single party.

That means many of those newbie councillors are now navigating so-called hung councils, where parties with little in common often work together to get the business of local government done.

But so far, it hasn't panned out that way for Reform UK, which isn't involved in any formal coalitions, pacts or deals in areas where there were local elections this year.

This was despite rampant speculation about Reform-Conservative coalitions ahead of the polls, with party leaders Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage not ruling out council deals...

... In other areas where coalitions were possible, Reform UK has either shunned co-operation or vice versa. Where Reform UK has explored potential partnerships locally, its policies have been viewed with suspicion by the established parties...

I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked!

Reform UK councils in ‘shambles’ as newly elected councillors fail to show up

Slapped down by the liberal elite for telling it like it is.
A newly elected councillor who called some children in care "downright evil" has been removed from his committee role, after his party called the comments "clumsy and regrettable".

Reform UK's Andy Osborn made the remark during Cambridgeshire County Council's children and young people committee meeting on Tuesday.

They won't be going near Derbyshire.
A nice sit-down with GB News or Vanessa Feltz with no risk of scrutiny.

But we see that it's OK for the right sort of people to leave and rejoin.
Just not people like us.
