But you can bet your bottom dollar that's who'll get the blame.

TBH, I think that these comparative arrest ratios are entirely valid. These thugs get away with their antics, time and again, while easy nicks are hauled off by the score.

As for the facial recognition technology, I doubt that the Met had the resources on the ground to do anything meaningful, even though the criminal quotient must have been at Downing Street covid levels.

The Met, according to my mole, is very concerned about the upcoming Trump visit, and a lot of resources are diverted to that.

Of course. The left are violent, the right are concerned citizens and Charlie Kirk will be canonised.

I was driving through the centre of Uxbridge on Friday afternoon. Former constituency of Johnson. A number of Union flags tied to lamp posts. Just looked tacky.

Washington has a new train line scheduled, with two new stations, That ought to be handy, even if I'm told they aren't particularly central for the town right now. But at least the people who say "build the infrastructure" first won't be able to complain about new houses being built round them. Will they?

See how long it takes Farage to cancel this line to give inheritance tax cuts to people who don't live in Washington.

The threshold for inheritance tax is £325,000. Looking on Right Move and sorting from lowest first, it takes till page 9 of 10 to get beyond that level. Let's assume £70,000 of non-property assets. It then takes you to... page 8 to reach that level.

Doubtless there'll be no shortage of mugs in Washington voting Farage to stick it to the man, mind.
