What does this even mean? There was a time when you could see Trump as serially dishonest, but a very effective communicator in his own way. This is just tripe, so much so that I don't buy the theory that Stephen Miller wrote it. People like Trump do pick up long words sometimes and repeat them ad nauseam.

Maybe set up a casino in your house, default and buy a new house under a different company.

Business lay offs also get a lot of attention too in fairness. You can probably guess how those are going.

The payroll figure is the main one though, with net jobs being considered a good measure of growth (or not). Lots of people leave the labour market for reasons other than enforced unemployment.

Trump said these things, so the Chairman of the National Economic Council has to pretend they're great ideas. Trump's also said he'll get rid of the Fed chair within a few months, and get interest rates down (presumably by appointing someone off Fox Business).

FIFA Will Award Its Own Peace Prize Next Month in Washington

When I read about this prize at the weekend I thought it was a joke but it isn't. The boss of FIFA has basically created FiFA's version of the Nobel Peace prize and the most likely winner is Trump. The former boss of FIFA Sepp Blatter had a reputation for corruption but Gianni Infantino seems to have taken corruption to a whole new level.

This might nonetheless be a wise ploy if it stops Trump fucking up the World Cup for a laugh. Everyone knows it’s a joke apart from Trump. It’s about as credible as Toby Young inventing a Bad Grammar Award for someone he didn’t like.

It'll either be Trump or MBS.

Reaction BTL to this is quite interesting. It's like Brown's baby bonds, but there's a groundswell in America against investing in stocks (even though they do a lot more of it than we do). The proposal from George W Bush's sane Treasury Secretary, Paul O'Neill, to put some of social security in stocks was defeated.

As an aside, I see there's been a load of articles here trying to make out that baby bonds were a terrible idea.

This could explain the timing of Trump's sudden interest in the year old Panorama programme.
