So Andrew Windsor has “agreed” that he will “no longer use” his titles including “Duke of York”, because he has become a “distraction” from the “work” of his brother the king. Though, of course, he still denies that he is guilty of any of the charges of pervy sexual abuse levelled at him by the late Virginia Giuffre, even though he paid her 12 million quid of his Mammy’s cash to go away.

Well, so fucking what ? If he is no longer going to be called the Duke of York, or the Head Wizard of the Purple Carpet, or whatever, then who (normal) gives a flying fuck ?

No. They do not get somebody else in to be Duke of York. The title simply remains dormant, and Andrew just doesn’t use it. Which is why his supposedly giving up the title is in real terms, pretty meaningless.
