Jenrick is very, very obviously positioning himself to step into Badenoch’s shoes just as soon as she falls, or is removed, which will be sooner rather than later.
It’s literally the only thing stopping him from jumping ship and climbing aboard the Farage racist bandwagon.
I just don’t see Jenrick joining Reform; he can see they are only a”sliding door” away from serious shit actually sticking, and can you see Nige allowing as big an attention seeker as himself into the scam

I don't think either would tolerate the other. Both would be petrified of being frozen out.

Jenrick's best move is to visit uncle Rupert and suggest a full financial expose on Farage.
You know he's enough of a rat-bastard to try it.

That's probably true about there not being room for the egos of both Jenrick and Farage in the Reform Party (though Tice seems to have found himself a berth after being ruthlessly ousted by the manfrog). Jenrick's ambitions are principally about being a right-wing demagogic leader, and the main focus of that ambition is on the Tories, which he sees as his best bet, as they are currently led by their worst leader since Truss, whose time is nearly up..

An Con/Ref electoral pact is far from the slam dunk that idiotic right wing pundits think it is. There's still a lot of Tories who can't stand Farage and Red wall Reform voters who still hate the Tories more than Labour.

Plus the 16-18 contingent, who nobody seems to be taking into account.

I see Kemi's Argentinian pal has talked about the Falklands. Oh dear.

Milei's currently in Washington groveling to Donald Peron for a bailout.

Yeah, all round good judgement from Kemi. Argentina, always a good place for political inspiration.

Not that long ago, Johnson was praising old Javier and saying that he had the guy's personal assurance that he wasn't interested in claiming the islands.

Who could have foreseen an Argentinian populist nationalist claiming the Falklands?

I haven't seen Kemi for weeks, it seems. Despite all the "Labour in crisis" stuff, there are at least policies coming out of the Conference. What's Kemi going to produce at hers? Bobbies on the beat, bring back matron and proper milkmen?

I think she’s probably be going to try and out-Farage Farage , and out-Jenrick Jenrick. She’s probably desperate enough.

How's she going to do that, deport herself?
