Nigel Farage has urged Technology Secretary Peter Kyle to "do the right thing and apologise" after he suggested that by opposing the government's online safety law, the Reform UK leader was on the side of sex offenders like Jimmy Savile.

Free speech, innit?
I've seen a lot of whining already on YT about it, including someone "speaking as a mother".

What makes people who've bred think they're so fucking special?
Pet theory, have aired it before, and the underlying issue applies to men just as much as women but in this case the example is obviously female-centred: because for the first time in their lives they've thought about things beyond their cul-de-sac. 'Oh wow the world is scary and I have a stake in it beyond my dumbass ego*.'

*N.B. the child is in essence an extension of said ego.

So Nigel, which “concerned parents” are you representing, those who should be able to let their children have easy access to anything on the internet, who the ones that attempt to burn down asylum seeker hotels….after being exposed to stuff on the internet. How do you square that circle, Nigel

Farage said: "What caused unrest on our streets after Southport last year was us not being told the status of the attacker.

"That led to crazy conspiracy theories spreading online."

Sky News yet again gave wall to wall coverage of Farage's press conference which was primarily about a Tory Police commissioner defecting to the Farage cult. Farage has clearly seen that because most parties take a break over August any announcements he makes will get maximum coverage on many news channels. To allow a party with only 4 MPs to get so much media attention really is damaging to democracy.

Farage keeps banging on about crime but most of the data suggests that many crimes have fallen in reason years so he is presenting a false narrative but few journalists challenge him about this false narrative. He keeps claiming that London is a crime hotspot yet London is the second most popular city destination for tourism.

It plays into the narrative set on Facebook, a relative of mine asked my mum how I coped in London with all the Hate preachers on street corners..............

All I ever see that remotely comes close is on a Saturday where some blokes are ranting about how Jesus Christ will save us all.

Didn't Bozo do this for him already?

Also:
Farage said he wanted "the democratic disparity" in the upper chamber to be addressed
It is a democratic disparity, you fucking racist plank.

I listened to The Moral Maze tonight on a seemingly endless journey full of random diversions - the theme was "Does the media inform or inflame?". Needless to say, his name cropped up along with his disproportionate exposure. I also thought one of the contributors needed to be held face-down in a bucket of slurry, but that's neither here nor there.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002hv3t if you can tolerate it.

(After that was over, I put Radio 3 on and my ears were assaulted with popular music. I thought the radio was broken but it did say "BBC R3" in the display. Who is St. Vincent and why was she on the Proms?)

I am looking forward to that, largely because Melanie "It's our turn to do a bit of genociding" Philips was not invited on to share with us her toxic fever dreams.

St. Vincent seems alright too, even though I was hoping that she would be an island off Madagascar which takes the Euro and has cheap flights in January. Sadly not.

Raskin -v- Farage.

It'll probably come as no surprise that most comments on this support Farage.

Dunno. Main panellists these days seem to be Tim Stanley and Mona Siddiqui.

It is becoming increasingly clear that farridge had cooked up a scheme with his latest flooz to squirm out of more thingmy-tax than that which did for Angie.

What is laughable is that he is being called upon to resign from the political front which is nothing more or less than his latest trick of griftonomics, engineered purely to extract vast amounts of cash from his bewildered masses.

The great thing about the grift business model is that it has an unending supply of marks. Unless HMRC grows some gonads.

I see he had an Anti-Vax speaker at his geriatric firework show.

Is this a new stage where he slowly embraces all the conspiracies?
The last thing we need is a bunch of RFK / Neil the evil coast hippie bollocks laid on top of our beloved NHS.
