I Googled that. 56% of Americans and 72% of Republicans think Arabic numerals should not be taught in US schools. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/arab ... 18256.html
I posted that image, and the Snopes verification of it elsewhere.

It was castigated by a moderator thus:

A pompous twat wrote:I know that this is a 'nonsense' thread but the above link does seem to illustrate the irrelevant rubbish that is sometimes posted on [here].

The 'fact' that is referenced is from a survey from 2019 and it was undertaken in the US. So hardly of relevance to the UK or folk [on this forum], it could be argued.
Meanwhile, this

...and the response of "Is this the high tech version of boat people? " - perfectly okay, no comment whatsoever.

It sounds like they're a bunch of cunts over there. I think you will probably feel a lot better if you stay away from that forum for a while.

Oh, there's worse, believe me. But yes, I think some quiet time is needed.

Have we all seen the infamous mug shot? It’s fucking hilarious, isn’t it ? Credit though for getting it on fucking t-shirts (40 dollars a pop) within hours. It’s all just the biggest grift yet. Seriously though, the USA constitution wants looking at urgently if it permits a (soon to be) convicted felon to run for the White House, and possibly even win.

The pose is clearly with the t-shirt sales in mind, the grumpy grandpappy look appeals to rednecks.

I'll wait for the bog roll, ta.

I'm surprised that 'mugshots' are allowed to be exploited for commercial use though?

Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;

In Trump's cozy little chat with Tucker Carlson the other night Carlson asked Trump if he thought his opponents would try to have him killed. Such a question is totally outrageous but Trump was very happy to play along with the idea, I wonder if he has seen the Tim Robbins film where a right wing presidential candidate fakes an assassination attempt in order to boost his popularity.

Another Bonaparte quote seems appropriate.

The 'mugshot' has raised $7.1m so far for the Trump campaign.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-66632882
Much of the money comes from merchandise such as mugs, T-shirts and drink coolers* bearing the former president's scowling face.

[..]

The attention seems to have galvanised his supporters, and he has raised almost $20m in three weeks, since his indictments in the Georgia and Capitol riots cases.

On Friday, immediately after his arrest in Georgia, he raised $4.18m, said to be his highest figure in a 24-hour period in the campaign so far.

Trump ain't the branez of the outfit.
I'd imagine that whatever passes for Tufton Street supplied the planning capacity.

There's a lot of fingers pointing at Guiliani and a gaggle of other Repub leaning lawyers.
There's something in the charges about "six others".
Doesn't seem like the smartest of plans, so I reckon Trump could have planned a lot of it. The smarter ones (in Georgia and elsewhere) swerved it.

Pennsylvania will now charge you $20 for your miscarriage - or be a felon.

(Fee waiver for honourably discharged veterans).
