We should take it back. They clearly can't be trusted to govern themselves.

This is all good fun, but the Republicans have a lot more state trifectas than the Democrats. They'll win any nationwide gerrymandering competition.

The FBi are outside John Bolton's house right now.

Virtually anyone in the US that calls themselves Reverend can be relied upon to spout nasty rubbish, and usually get a free pass.

When I read some of the crankery on Bluesky, I'm wondering if Doctor is becoming our equivalent to Reverend.

So Ghislaine Maxwell, serving a twenty year jail sentence for child sex trafficking, says that she never observed Donald Trump do anything "inappropriate" when she was in his company with her boyfriend, the paedophile/rapist Jeffrey Epstein.

Two things:

Is not the question of what the convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell might regard as "inappropriate" itself very much open to question - to put it mildly?

Might not the convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell be even slightly motivated by the knowledge that Donald Trump has the power to free her from gaol via a presidential pardon - a power he has already (ab)used freely to pardon 1500 violent participants in the 2021 coup attempt on the Capitol in Washington DC- instigated and incited by Trump himself ?

I thought this had been covered and already debunked, i.e. it's nothing to do with dementia treatments?

Or in some cases, Professor.

“Pastor” is the styling that immediately alerts me to a self-aggrandizing bullshitter. There seem to be quite a lot of self-styled “pastors” in the USA.

Quite a lot in the UK, too, often small churches with predominantly Afro-Caribbean congregations.

"Pastor" is a term I usually associate with African-American congregations.

It always reminds me of a line in the song "Open the door, Richard!" by Louis Jordan.

Cunt's out of control. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd7yperjxneo
President Donald Trump's plan to deploy troops to Chicago is an abuse of power, the Democratic governor of the US state of Illinois has said.

There is no emergency that justifies the National Guard being sent to Illinois and the US president is "attempting to manufacture a crisis", JB Pritzker said in a statement.
Isn't this what their holy fucking Second Amendment was for? Or is it so you have the right to slaughter kids in schools because somebody said something horrible to you once, or the right to carry your AR-15 around in public because you don't have a functioning dick any more?

The well-regulated militia combating federal tyranny is only significant if the federal tyranny is paper straws and not thinking homos are the devil.

Otherwise it's all good, bring in the feds.

Negotiation more widely known as "unconditional surrender".
