Whether they have fallen victim to the extraction of industrial quantities of urine is unclear, but it's a given that they have been taking the piss out of their easily-enraged readers for decades.
This rage-bait is clearly designed to inflame those wretched souls who have to scrape by on 200k a year by convincing them that those who are actually on a decent scratch are also condemned to despair in this seemingly bottomless penurious pit. Artificial apoplexy, their well-trod tactic during Labour years to shore up their fragile and anaemic circulation ... which they, strangely enough, no longer report to the ABC.
Pathetic.

Remember that "story" in the Telegraph a few weeks back about the high-earning couple pleading poverty because of Labour's VAT on school fees? Well yep, it turned out to be bollocks.

“We take the quality and integrity of our journalism very seriously but it is clear that our internal processes were not strong enough on this story and we are taking steps to ensure this does not happen again.”

I've a sneaky suspicion the recipe's already been changed and the gammon hasn't even noticed.
Britain’s crisp manufacturers have already begun the process of changing their recipes.
A spokesman for the Potato Processors Association said: “Most of our members already supply both the EU and UK markets and they have therefore adapted to EU requirements by reformulating their products accordingly.”
Frazzles and Walkers Smoky Bacon changed their recipe in 2023, to keep selling into the EU.

Ha ha, good spot. I was thinking there might be commercial opportunities in changing to the EU-compliant recipe. Quite funny that they did this 2 years ago.

The most surprising thing here is that there is a demand for British made smokey bacon crisps and Frazzles somewhere in the EU . Some corner of a foreign field....
