Mate of mine was quite senior in the SIA in his civil servant days... yep, hats off to the doorman, but isn't it a pity that so many pubs need door staff now?
Maybe it's the pubs I go in but I've found there are less these days.

Don't get them at all at the micropubs I frequent. Was pleasantly surprised this afternoon thoughto see a 1939 Austin Ruby parked outside the Shite Horse (a dive of a pub locally) - and with its windscreen open :shock:
