The reason you've been asked to leave Tommy is obvious, you're a cunt and the publican doesn't like you.

Was I imagining it, or did he ask where the publican was from at one point in that hissy fit?

It was the way he demanded the reason why that made the story - anyone else would have walked away or been escorted. Well done the doorman for not giving him reason to kick off.
Mate of mine was quite senior in the SIA in his civil servant days... yep, hats off to the doorman, but isn't it a pity that so many pubs need door staff now?
Maybe it's the pubs I go in but I've found there are less these days.

None round here, which is surprising in a foetid shithole full of snowflakes...

Don't get them at all at the micropubs I frequent. Was pleasantly surprised this afternoon thoughto see a 1939 Austin Ruby parked outside the Shite Horse (a dive of a pub locally) - and with its windscreen open

Genius here. Why don't Jews (who by the way aren't English) support English ethno-nationalism? Why don't they know we definitely don't mean them when we say we want to kick out the non-English?

Aside from the ridiculous AI, do you remember the expression "As clean as London"? It was definitely a real thing. Whenever my Dad spotted some litter in Cheltenham High Street, he used to say "There's none of that in London".

I remember the Our Price livery being red, driving on the left (fucking mental, right?), and there being no fatwa for 66% of women wearing identical dresses.

Aye, and there were no blokes with their legs going backwards, either.

The picture looks "safe" though. Unlike now, when you're regularly gunned down as you come out of Pret A Manger.

The maroon Ford looks like it's half-taken from a brochure picture and they have only managed to crop out the "FI" of "FIESTA" - look closely.

We bought all our Blirers at Woolworths.

Can't get 'em since Callaghan melted down all the half crowns.

We were poor but happy. Our dad's car just had a normal top that fitted the main chassis, not one of those fancy overhanging ones they had in that London.

Even the racist free genuine 'our town in the olden days' FB sites are a bit weird. Someone posts a picture of a long gone shop asking 'who remembers this?' Bizarre replies about 'Great days' etc. Calm down, its fucking shop that went broke because you stopped shopping there 50 years ago.

Round here we had a proper clockmaker when we came here in 1986. Long gone: I think the owner died. Not much call for them now but I do recall seeing one of their clocks in a period drama on the telly.

Just because you tell people foreigners will rape your kids, you're called far right.

Indeed, those FB groups are very odd. “My Uncle Cyril worked there from 1975 to 1986” . So fucking what ? Who gives a toss ?

Meanwhile, another group that needs watching.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/ ... rk-collett
The head of a leading British far-right group spoke at a summit of European extreme nationalist groups convened in Russia by an influential oligarch linked to Vladimir Putin, it can be revealed.

The revelation has led to renewed concern among MPs over the Kremlin’s links to extremist groups and its attempts to disrupt democracy and sow societal divisions in the UK.

The event in St Petersburg was addressed by Mark Collett, a longstanding far-right activist and founder of Patriotic Alternative, which attempted to exploit the summer of unrest outside asylum hotels in Britain.
