You’d think he’d be more worried about being ICE’d out of Florida.

First they came for the cocaine-gangs - and Richie said nothing.
Then they came for the uppity students - and Ritchie said nothing.
Then they came for the law firms - and Ritchie said nothing.
But when they took away Ramon his pool-boy - Ritchie was privately livid.

Something in the water? Why is he knocking out a column - a rather thoughtful and reasoned one by his standards - about a couple in their 70s having a child by surrogacy? OK, it's very male-focused (guys shagging around at any age and having trophy wives is OK, women had better watch themselves, will that do Boris?), but not by any means his usual stuff.
I mean, what's been going on in the news?
Ah, that's why.
Starmer and Fargle in a war of words, while Badenoch paints herself as the sensible grown-up in the room. He can hardly do "all as bad as each other", nor can he back his Great Mate Nige when Kemi's got the op-ed page. And as for Liverpool... yeah. Best not.

That's.. that's... it's almost reasonable. Did he get someone else to write it?

Littlejohn's just a poundland Clarkson; he's found a target audience and he shamelessly plays to them. He's nothing but a grifter who clearly despises his "followers"
I read a collection of his articles (Can't remember why now.) that stretched back to the early nineties and back then he was a reasonably witty and politically moderate . He also wrote an impartial "ins and outs" about how US elections work (You'd think he lives there or something!) around the time Obama was president. There's no way in hell he actually believes anything he writes about these days.
Did you know, a certain Darren Grimes started out (in around 2015) as a Lib-dem, pro-remainer and put out a VT on BBC about championing gay rights and diversity, which you can still view today. Pure grift when he saw which "side" were gaining the attention of the media in 2016.

Same as Katie Hopkins, as we've said before. She started out as a fairly harmless rentagob who didn't like common people, saw where the money was and became an out and out fascist.

Extolling the virtues of literacy is a nice way of passing off a boilerplate "kids, eh?" column.
Kids these days, smartphones, not real hardship like we had, designer trainers, flat screen TVs, white working class boys, betrayed by the system, grr Labour.
Couple of things stand out - first, this was all inspired by a friend of his who wrote some stories about growing up in the Four Yorkshiremen sketch:
They're beautifully written, warm, funny, evocative, a slice of history, a working-class version of Richmal Crompton's Just William adventures.
The storylines are based on the trials and tribulations of a boy being brought up by a single mother – an unconventional family life back then, sadly only too common today. The Fib And Other Stories has been in print since 1975 and found its way on to the school curriculum, where it remains today.
So they're on the curriculum, so why complain that they're not? Anyway. Thanks to a reference to Charlie Chaplin at the start:
I honestly believe that if they could be persuaded to look up from their mobiles for an hour, they'd be enthralled and inspired by the adventures of a young boy not that different to them, despite the distance in decades.
You never know, there might even be another Charlie Chaplin among them.
Yes, Charlie Chaplin, well known for his wordplay. And his socialism, pacifism, and penchant for teenage girls.
Scraps of other stuff - police are taking other jobs, tee hee. What's a kickboxing coach when it's at home? This one's selling homemade honey, giggle, snort. Ooh, foreign animals, like buzzards (they're native to Britain)! Pee Cees in the NHS and the history! Boo!
Cunt.

I don’t know, surely some modern technology’s good, I mean 50 years ago who’d have thought that you could type a load of shit in somewhere else on the world, for example Florida, press a button and it instantly appears in London

Arthur C Clark - but he also believed we'd have Chimpanzee butlers, so everyone ignored him.
