Why is the NYT interested in John Terry's views?

It's The Athletic, a sports website that the NYT bought in 2021.

Feeds nicely into the US belief that Britain is an Islamic state too.

It is rather ironic that those who are most opposed to palm oil happen to be utter wankers.
There was a significant push back when large sections of the Borneo and remaining Malay rainforest were being felled for palm plantations.
That was quite some time ago.

Now the main oil controversy seems to be the "Beef dripping Vs seed oils" conspiracy.
All sorts of anti-scientific bollocks about plant oils being bad, and animal fat is great.
Anybody checking coronary health outcomes across the UK would rubbish it in seconds.

Ah, so that's where it comes from!!

I have a mate who seemingly gets all his medical advice from Yanks* on YouTube and for a while now he's been banging on about how grains are bad for you and so are any seed oils. Despite him telling me he's massively dairy intolerant, he says he eats at least half a pat of butter a day (because fats rather than carbs) and lots of salt too. Unsurprisingly, he ain't in great health himself but he'll tell everyone else they're doing it wrong.

He must be a GP's nightmare.

*A giveaway, to me anyway - when did you ever hear a GP refer you for a "blood panel"? It's a phrase he repeatedly uses.

"Fags are proven to be good for you. It's the system that causes cancer: Monopoly Capitalism and the dark forces behind it.*"

*Mate, just say 'the Jews' if that's what you mean.

Or just say Zionism, as these people mostly remember to do, these days.

I suspect he source was MAGA funding giant Ranching conglomerates.
The the structure and frequency of the anecdotes and "evidence" are consistent with other industrially sourced conspiracies.

My Favourite:
I put seed oil into a hot pan and it smoked.
Imagine what that's doing to your insides.

*or however hot a frying pan gets.

You're getting scarily good at this Andy, have a lie down and a strong sweet cup of tea. Maybe book a holiday?

Ever fancied a jorb as a Manfluencer.

There's a whole Tate shaped audience looking for somebody more credible.

I'm an overweight goth pushing 50. I'm so pale I got called out for it by a ginger Welshman. I walk with a cane and am going grey.

But yeah, seems like a laugh. How does one get started?

I think it's like the Druids and Monks in Original D&D.

You have to challenge one and defeat them in a duel.
Canes are probably permitted.
Pale may be an asset "You wouldn't strike a white brother?"
If victorious, you inherit their level, likes and followers.

I'm being silly.

Sharon Osbourne confirms plans to attend Tommy Robinson march to ‘unite the UK’

https://metro.co.uk/2026/04/15/sharon-o ... -27981601/

Sharon Osbourne has declared she will be attending a Tommy Robinson rally that’s been organised to oppose immigration.

Last year, the far-right activist and founder of the English Defence League organised a Unite the Kingdom rally that saw more than 100,000 people turn out in London.

The event sparked several incidents of violent disorder that also left some police officers injured.

In the months since there have been several more similar rallies organised, with the next set to take place next month.

This week, Robinson shared a video on social media in which he spoke about May 16 marking the date ‘Britain rises and reunites’.

‘It’s the date the world hears our roar, and that we have had enough of migration and mass immigration and the oppression from a tyrannical government,’ he said.
How long has she lived in the USA now?...

Is her career over, or is lining up with Yaxley Lennon no longer career ending?

Even longer than Yaxley-Lennon's lived in Spain.
