It does explain why an unknown councillor was doing wall to wall telly for most of December.

Headbangers are fuming because convicted thug and crook Ant Middleton wasn't selected candidate. He'll be standing as an independent in a three way fight for fifth place with Cunningham and Count Binface.

Did Labour ever properly announce the changes to voting system on mayors again?

RacistUK doing what RacistUK do best

A senior Reform UK councillor has been criticised for saying he was worried about "seeing children in primary schools being taught to pray the Muslim way".

Carl Abbott made the remarks during an internal Prevent counter-terrorism briefing held by Leicestershire County Council, attended by politicians and police, on Monday.

In a recording of the meeting, seen by the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS), Abbott said he feared it could lead to the radicalisation of children...

During the meeting, Abbott, the authority's cabinet member for adult social care, said he was "worried" about "seeing children in primary schools being taught to pray the Muslim way".

He added: "When I went to school, we went into assembly, we sang hymns and were taught the Christian way.

"It bothers me if the government is allowing this to be taught in school; does it not start the radicalisation of these children?

"Will we see a further increase in crimes, etc, as these children grow up?"...
Of course, no child taught to pray the Christian way has ever gone on to commit crimes.

I saw that, and an accompanying photo; a twat with a turquoise tie.

Turquoise clothing and red trousers: both a sartorial warning to others.

On a railway preservation forum I frequent, someone who seems to be late 20s/early 30s has come out as a Reform supporter. Says that they'd be a breath of fresh air compared to the "current lot" and that their increasing popularity suggests change is wanted.

Oh dear.

As I've said before - don't make the mistake of thinking Reform supporters are solely middle-aged and beyond.

"A breath of fresh air". Perhaps it stems from the long running joke on here about Littlejohn, but I associate Reform with the heady whiff of stale beer, farts, over filled ash trays, scotch egg belches, crusty, warm cubes of orange cheese, and baked-in piss from men who have dribbled a bit too much and haven't changed their trousers in weeks. Basically all the odours linked to my miserable first job as a glass collector in a working mens club on Tyneside in the late 70s.

Unfortunately, Reform do seem to be cutting through to younger people via such things as TikTok.

Do Reform have a railway policy - something more substantive than "Wogs out!"

Note I mentioned "preservation" - pretty much an exclusively white body.

They seem to be quite close to Policy Exchange, so they'll probably take a load of their reports off the shelf and doubtless sound a bit more credible than they might have otherwise done. This one is written by noted rail expert, Andrew Gilligan, who is obviously not content with mucking up Rishi Sunak's rail policy.

https://policyexchange.org.uk/publicati ... peed-rail/

If you want a laugh, look up William Barter's comments on Gilligan. Barter is a rail professional (and Tory district councillor) who really doesn't like him. Here's an example.

Anybody remember Emmet Wotsischops, the bumptious young UKIPPER who used to post on here ?

I suppose he’s now well up the Reform hierarchy .

Well, Abers, you asked and it piqued my curiosity.

https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/person/703/emmett-jenner

Yes, he's a ReFukker, with a string of election defeats from Kent to Anglesey. I've seen other stuff saying he now lives on the Isle of Man, so who knows? The site linked above also features Nathan Gill, so although it says it's been recently updated, clearly not all of it has.

By the way, his photo is on there. He looks exactly how I'd expect.

Reform of course has cut through but I told you the example of someone who at work who is a liberal/green who couldn’t stop praising Labour’s renters stuff so these examples.

Looking at the polling it doesn’t seem to be anything more than the Conservatives had when in opposition, though I remember two conservative guys in my uni group in the 00s we had a post drinks dissertation hand in, turned out it was all the Jews fault. I made my excuses with a couple of others and left.
