Bluesky doesn't like the deal for the Government reopening. They seem to have got very little except a promise to hold a vote on the healthcare subsidies. I assume that this will be held, lost, and won't even come up for a vote in the House. In defense of the deal, the Republicans will then own the premium rises much more than they do now. I think Bluesky overestimates the degree to which the electorate knows what's about to hit it. There's also an agreement (involving Trump) on ending the federal sackings and insuring the workers get paid for the rest of the fiscal year. Will he stick to that?

And the deal will only run till the end of January, so the Government could shut down again then. Most Dems didn't want the deal, but there's certainly something to work with on one of their best issues, healthcare.

Seems like the Senate budget deal means that Johnson has to recall the House to approve it. But can he do that without swearing in the 218th vote to release the Epstein files?

This Epstein shit is getting boring.

If there was anything, it'd have been leaked by now.

Remember the partial leak of Trump's tax returns?

Here's the guy who leaked them, getting 5 years imprisonment, and that with a guilty plea.

Brave position, so you'd think, for a politician from rural Kentucky. Except it isn't. Hardly anybody notices the glaring contradiction.
