Not the smartest thing to defame a judge, you'd think.
Do they have a legal department?

As defined by their legal advisors. That should be in the dictionary, if it isn't already.

Libelling the judiciary. They would be safer playing chicken with Japanese rolling stock.
(I wish they would just nail these feral fuckers to the wall.)

Well, it seems this unhinged rag has been saved... by the Daily fucking Mail
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2eg1w0n81o
The Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) said it had entered a period of discussion with RedBird IMI, which is a joint venture between the United Arab Emirates and the US private equity firm RedBird Capital Partners.
RedBird Capital's own bid for control of the Telegraph collapsed last week amid continuing concerns over potential foreign state influence.
The deal needs to be signed off by Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy. A spokesperson said Nandy would "review any new buyer acquiring the Telegraph in line with the public interest and foreign state influence media mergers regimes".
DMGT and RedBird IMI have said they expect the deal to be finalised "quickly".
DMGT chairman Lord Rothermere said he had "long admired the Daily Telegraph" and the deal would give "much-needed certainty and confidence" to its employees.
Fuck off, Rothermere.
DMGT chairman Lord Rothermere said he had "long admired the Daily Telegraph" and the deal would give "much-needed certainty and confidence" to its employees.
He added: "The Daily Telegraph is Britain's largest and best quality broadsheet newspaper and I have grown up respecting it. It has a remarkable history and has played a vital role in shaping Britain's national debate over many decades.

I think Rachel Reeves should put a tax on every newspaper produced by a company registered in a tax haven. 10p a day on every copy of the Telegraph, Mail, Sun or Times would surely raise should raise plenty of money to fund hotel accommodation for asylum seekers!

Aren't all those companies based in the UK?

The Torygraph is er... well, umm...
Hunting foxes is a British birthright – Unesco should protect it
Rather than banning all forms of the sport, Labour should recognise its centrality to our nation’s cultural inheritance

I don't think they'll get much support for this.

At this rate, the Torygraph will make the Mail seem sane.

But it is a joint venture so Red Bird would be partners.

Ha ha ha.
This concern with Gibraltar doesn't extend to actual Gibraltarians. It's strutting for a domestic audience.

When the stars align its amazing what left leaning sisters parties in Spain, Gib and UK can get done. Although there's not really anything amazing about parties getting round a table and thrashing out a common position to everyone's advantage.

Foreign affairs should be about sticking it to foreigners, those are the rules. At least Jim Hacker only started a row about sausages.
In other news. Quite something for the EU to go from "too many Poles allowed in" to "threat to Western Civilizations" in about a decade.

De-Nile Gardner used to carry Thatcher's handbag for her.
