The National will do what it does best, ignore that fact, and carry on attacking Starmer.

Ha ha ha ha.
Swinney says £180,000 funding for tournament at Trump's golf course not designed to 'butter up' US president
Scottish government funding for a golf tournament at Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire course was not an attempt to “butter up” the US president, John Swinney has said.
As PA Media reports, the Scottish government announced on Saturday that £180,000 of public money would be spent to bring the Nexo Championship to Scotland next month – just days before the first minister met Trump.
Which might be a sensible use of public money, in fairness, given Trump's power. But the National will be apoplectic. It had 7 Labour politicians on the front as the guilty men the other day. None had handed out £180k to my knowledge.

Seemingly, little coverage has been given to an agreement whereby tariffs will magically be eased on Scotch whiskies. That £180k is a transparent bribe, but it must come as an enormous relief within rural communities and to The Treasury.

The Government got Swinney to pay for it and do the grovelling. They’ll enjoy that.

The SNP are not weakening, but they should be with this sort of thing. Do they even have the power to do this? Is the purpose a row with Westminster and a talking point about how they want to stick it to neoliberals?

Who advised Mr Swinney that cow's milk, cheese, battery chickens and eggs are essential healthy food, Fanny Craddock from 1970?
