"Nice pile of Lithium you've got there. Would be a shame if Putin got his hands on it, wouldn't it?"

International diplomacy as protection racket. The 'great powers' carving up the world's resources is back, isn't it?

Johnson playing Teddy Thursby alongside Trump as Harry Starks*. Putting the frighteners on Zelynsky and doing the nice and nasty routine.

*Note for Abers and other mammals: "The Long Firm", novel and subsequent TV series written by Jake Arnott, and starring Mark Strong and Derek Jacobi.

Thenks for the note, it's truly appreciated.

The Pork Haystack has spoken:
Two-tier Keir is the orange ball-chewing manacled gimp of Brussels. He has sacrificed UK fishing interests, handing over our seas to be plundered again - when under the current Brexit agreement we are on the point of taking back full legal control, next year, of every fish in our waters …
Any chance of putting that fuck in a hessian sack and chucking him in a Suffolk ditch?

Johnson presumably didn't mean white people like himself.
Global over-population is the real issue

As for motherhood – the fertility of the human race – we are getting to the point where you simply can’t discuss it, and we are thereby refusing to say anything sensible about the biggest single challenge facing the Earth; and no, whatever it may now be conventional to say, that single biggest challenge is not global warming. That is a secondary challenge. The primary challenge facing our species is the reproduction of our species itself. http://boris-johnson.com/2007/10/25/glo ... n-control/

The usual suspect have been predicting that Johnson will make a comeback and replace Badenoch as Tory leader and see off the threat of Farage. The problem with such a plan is that there are few Tory safe seats where he could be parachuted in at a by-election so he is not going to be an MP anytime soon. And even if they could install him as leader the next election will be very different to the 2019 election.

Johnson did well because Reform stood down candidates in many seat that the Tories needed to win, in four years time I can't see Reform standing down in many seats unless the Tories agree to standdown in seats Reform have a chance of winning.

There is also the question of how he thinks he’ll get such a safe seat - is any leader going to invite lardarse back just so he can boot them out?

That said, bring him on. He’ll have to dedicate most of his time to fighting off Farage and might bring a few nutter votes back, he’ll help focus the minds of all the sane voters, and when he inevitably loses he’ll have to actually fucking own his shit for once rather than stealing the victories others have cued up for him and then running away before having to face the consequences.
