Who could possibly have predicted Boris Johnson would have been on the fiddle while in office and when he left, eh?
It’s *so* out of character!

Can't remember who convincingly argued that Gove more than any other figure in the Leave campaign gave their side the winning edge. Due to his ability to impersonate a mainstream sensible centre right Tory minister.
I take it Gove's point is that Reform has embraced the tried and tested formula of welding social conservatism with left leaning economics. As used by parties across the spectrum for over a century on every continent. Except they haven't yet.

I agree about Gove in the referendum,
Farage has said the odd thing about eg nationalizing Thames Water. There may be good reasons that hasn't happened yet-(private) infrastructure investment is going pretty well, and the cost might go up if they thought the Government was nationalizing when it didn't have to. If there were no other option then that probably wouldn't be a problem, hence the Reeves "market based solution" talk, which may not be as "deluded" as some people are making out. The process that allows for nationalisation has started, and as with Railtrack in 2001, it's ruled out till it isn't.

Don't expect any better from Truss but the interesting part is Tory shadow cabinet minister kicks back against the far right shock.
Liz Truss has claimed that far-right leader and anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson has been “unfairly demonised”.
But, when asked if Truss was still welcomed in his party, shadow Tory chancellor Mel Stride told the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg: “Those are matters for Kemi Badenoch and the leadership, but that is once again something I would not be saying.
“I think Tommy Robinson, who has served time in prison for various misdemeanours and whose conduct in politics is a very long way from the way which I think politics should be conducted, and is part of the far-right that I don’t want to have any truck with.”

"...who has spent time in prison for various misdemeanours..."
He hasn't, actually. He's spent time in prison after being convicted of various criminal offences.
Language matters.

Also, I'd have thought that the shadow Chancellor would be part of the leadership.

I’m sure Laura K pulled him up on this. I’m joking.

If ever an over-promoted political zero deserved to be consigned to utter oblivion, then Williamson is that man.

The way things are going, would anyone be surprised if Stevie Waxy Lemming ended up in Parliament?

Give it a few years.
He's currently
a member of Ben Habib's Judean Popular Peoples' Front, but given the way that the grifty-go-round works, he'll worm his way into something that gets him more attention.

UK government wins £122m pandemic case against Michelle Mone-linked firm over faulty PPE
Trial heard 25m surgical gowns supplied by PPE Medpro to protect NHS staff were unusable and could ‘seriously harm or kill patients’
Are we allowed to criticize Mone, Bozo and all, or would that incite the radical left?
