Katie Lam has apparently been spouting party policy.

There is no public support for such an extreme policy.

Up to a point Lord Copper, the public can easily be whipped up into a pitch forked frenzy. But then sympathetically tell their Portugese or Romanian colleague at work in floods of tears that "we didn't mean you."
"But hey what can you do?" Not be a vacuous gullible cunt in the first place, that's what you can do.

This country (And the world in general) is heading to the shit.

I'm not sure we can have a world war to cleanse the world this time out, maybe climate change will do the job, and I am sorry to those who have to live with it but perhaps it will have done some good and in time perhaps they will be able to manage it.

I just worry what kind of fucked up world my two great-nephews (ten and eight) will inherit.

Like my friend from East London who loved his football, boxing, and drinking, but was brown. Some of West Ham's finest used to shout the usual shit and add "Not you mate".

I'm a bit more optimistic. I think things will be tough because of various fundamentals but if most people do vote tactically if we need to, we'll be OK. It's not difficult to do that- even I managed to do it in the last election.

I'd be switching my vote to Plaid next week if I was living in Caerphilly. Not because I want to register a protest against the government but keeping the fascist parasites of Reform out is the only priority for that contest.

Can anti-woke Kemi confirm whether its racist to compare her team to a mad African tyrant?

Profiles in courage. But it's something, I suppose. And James Cleverly has had a go at saying party policy is something different to the horror show it actually is.

I thought Katie Lam must have an important front bench role, given how she's in the media apparently making party policy. She is merely a junior whip. I am very suspicious about why she's getting these media gigs, like she's some heavyweight. If Kemi were remotely serious, Katie would have been put back in her box very rapidly.

A vulture circling a dead duck sounds like an accurate mixed metaphor.

Is there anyone left in the Tory party with any judgement at all?

Why is it about migration? Are they saying that they associate all non-White people with migration?

And let's be frank here, if the colour of a person on the telly unnerves you, you're a thick as pigshit racist cockwomble. Treat it like Doctor Who and hide behind the sofa. Change channels (and remember that there's no distressing adverts on the BBC what you pay for). Get fucking real.

Is winning back racist nan in Clacton now the only strategy the Tories have?

Cut the head off the snake. Without Fargle they lose much of their air time and support across the country. Tice and co just become another 4 nutters on the back opposition benches.

Worth a shot.

There's not really any credible route to decapitation, as it was called by the Lib Dems in 2005 (when it failed anyway, I think the targets all won). Farage got 46% and won by over 8,000 in Clacton.

I don't always buy the slightly disingenuous "you can't outReform Reform" analysis, when usuallywhat's happening is addressing a socially conservative element in your support, but with lots of differences from Reform. But I think it's applicable to what the Tories are doing, with Katie Lam, Kemi and Jenrick. They do have a legacy, at least of professionals who will have voted Remain (but were happy to go along with the result). These would seem to be worth them competing for. Farage with marginally less mad economics isn't going to cut it.

"Socially conservative" is sometimes (always) more toxic and pernicious that merely bearing than the racist badges of their nonsensical "legitimate concerns". Socially conservative types hate everyone. They are the bastard offspring of Alf Garnet - and they will never be educated, civilised or even domesticated.

The enemy within.

Seems like it.
