The glory of la Liz is that she has no continuity from one week to the next. She's skint but she owns a menagerie of dogs and horses. She hasn't had a holiday for years then she talks about endless weekends away. She's frantically busy but Google never has any mention of her except for the weekend column and occasional Mail article. She has a PA who never does any work. The list is endless.

“You win this time, Rayner but I know and I’ll have my revenge!” Dan cackles loudly, “ha ha ha ha…”

It's Dan Hodges. Anyone even remotely familiar with Dan's work knows that he is wrong about everything.

His mum must have left him a few bob, he should claw back some dignity and go and run a tea shop by the coast.

Meanwhile, finger on the pulse stuff today, as the Mail spills the beans on that fishy Lord Lucan.

I am not making this up.

Is he still hiding in Botswana?
Like Jack the Ripper, Lucan’s a popular cold case for bored retired CID detectives.

Used to be the way, when you'd have a choice of newspapers on the stand and could only choose one, that you'd have a teaser headline and the key points.

These days it's the Clickbait model - an over-wordy headline that explains exactly what you can expect without really telling you anything, then bury the key points deep in the text to keep them reading.

"Exposes" how Lucan plotted to murder his wife, killed the family nanny, and disappeared?

I thought all that has been common knowledge for the last fifty years ?

As for plotting his wife's murder (BTW, Sandra Rivett was murdered, and deserves better than being "the one who got in the way"), I was under the impression it wasn't much more complicated than "hide in passage and hit her over the head with a heavy thing".

If the mail are going to run stories about noble criminality, I am sure that we can expect extensive coverage of the doings and deeds of Lord Bamford and Lady Mone.

Just glanced at the DM's online coverage of the 80th anniversary of the DD landings. The way the Mail claims 'ownership' of the event ("these are our people") and the way that almost every gushing below the line commentator signs off by putting the boot into "today's youth", is disgusting. Virtue signalling at it absolute worst.

It's very noticeable that the right concentrates on 'our lads' and false claims to herohood and valour, all about individuals, wheras the left (Starmer and the French) concentrate on the collective struggle to defeat fascist dictatorship and re-establish liberty and freedom.

Funny that.

I've long believed that for many on the right, the Nazis' real crime was to think of themselves as the master race when there were good honest Brits about.
