My posh friend Boris who copies the working class thinks they live on large estates, don't know how many kids they have and are fat fucks stuffing themselves with pies.

I'll be glad when August is o er and the papers go back to reporting real news.
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch says Josef Fritzl case made her ‘reject God’
Badenoch said the Fritzl case was like ‘someone blew out a candle’ when it came to her faith

So, after rejecting god she embraced the Adversary? That might explain a few things.

Earlier this week she said she no longer identified as Nigerian, today she seems to have rejected religion what else is she going disown by the end of the week?

I couldn’t tell the other day if she knew that Hamas didn’t run the Palestinian Authority.

It is time to rename this board to "Kemi's Identity of the Day".
Tomorrow Matthew I shall be Dmitri Shostakovich.

Kemi came across fine in that interview about her faith. She appears to have upset the milkwoman of Christian kindness that is Amanda Platell. Which is no bad thing.

Yeah, the Fritzl comment was an interesting personal angle. I'll back Kemi over Platell too.

Well, I rejected religion because it’s the biggest load of old shite anybody has ever come up with. I’m definitely with George Carlin on this one. Didn’t take an evil Austrian sex abuser to prompt that piece of rational thinking for me.

Who needs Shostakovich when you can identify as Judas Iscariot.

Frankie Boyle nominated celebrity atheists for Room 101, "I don't need Ricky Gervais to tell me there's no God, Derek was recommissioned twice."

Quite. It speaks somewhat of intellectual limitation if a person cannot see that something is bad or wrong from principles and premises and has to wait for a blatant* concrete example to formulate their thinking**.
*And not just any example, just about the most blatant example possible - there have been many others which must have been explained away or ignored in that person's 'spiritual journey'.
**To a developed mind*** examples such as Fritzl serve to illustrate a previously established principle, they are not the foundation of the realisation or judgement.
*** Operating at Kohlberg's level 5 or 6, the post-conventional level, where the individual's morality is based on principles and a concern for justice.

Remarked to a friend who'd become an unlikely vicar that I found professional atheists like Dawkins tedious asking why there are Nazis or cancer.
"They're good questions," Rev replied.
"Yes but they're such basic chapter one questions that anyone religious must have asked themselves and can bat away with ease."
"You haven't met my congregation."

Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist, not a "professional atheist".

Ian has a bit of a thing about Dawkins. Personally I think he is OK.
(See 'developed mind' in my previous post.)

Well, as Voltaire might have said, why did you need the Lisbon Earthquake to tell you God wasn't good? But for people who grow up with faith, like Kemi, it's not uncommon to have the sort of experience she did over Fritzl. I don't infer anything bad about her from it.
Worth saying too that this won't help with the wingnut welfare. So I'm inclined to feel better towards her than I did before over this. (still can't stand her).
