What sort of news editor thinks ‘police sack a convicted murderer’ is a story?
The police officer who murdered Sarah Everard has been dismissed from the Metropolitan Police, a week after admitting the crime.
Wayne Couzens, 48, pleaded guilty on 9 July to the murder of the 33-year-old marketing executive.
The hearing was held as soon as possible after PC Couzens' guilty plea, the Met Police said.

I'm not a news editor, but I definitely think that's a story. I definitely want to know that police officers who commit murder are jailed. Judging by the level of interest in the trial, I suspect many other people are interested too.
