Using the word ‘provincial’ in relation to NI would be seen as snide and inappropriate, if someone brighter than Frost uttered it.

Are Labour anywhere on this stuff?

I know they have to tread careful around Brexit, but "oven ready" v "provisional" is surely a point that won't alienate too many people in Blyth Valley?

Missed this at the time. The first line rather surprised the questioner, David Anderson QC (the former independent reviewer of terrorism legislation).

Presumably Frosty sprinted out of the chamber soon afterwards shouting "Can't stop, the Lewisham Mob have done another blag, it's like a jungle out there!"

Lord Frost would like to make it clear he’s just a simple merchant who has never heard of Steve Bannon. Its certainly the sort of thing a hard core Brexiter would say. And their dim servants would repeat without thinking through its meaning.

I think Šefčovič's getting bored with David "Unelected Bureaucrat" Frost.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-59365412

"We have been putting proposals on the table on solving the uninterrupted supply of medicines to NI since June and I remember Lord Frost telling me that what is important for him is not only content but also process.

"I was waiting to see if he can deliver on that solution jointly and I have to say that until today that has not been the case," he said.

"If we would still be in the mode of political posturing and bringing new problems to the table, I don't think we will solve the most pressing issues for Northern Ireland and so we may be acting alone to ensure the Northern Ireland people have the medicines they need," he added.

Yeah, I've met a few Frosts in my time. They know some management buzzwords, and anything you bring to them, they go "no, not like that".

Maybe one day they will realise that his drop in popularity has nothing to do with being far right shits.

I do think the more nasty they get the smaller the rump gets.

And this is what happens when you decide not to engage with anyone even a little bit critical of you.
