Warwick Mansell didn't like Gove. (I keep wanting to call him Warwick Davis).

IIRC Private Eye was more susceptible to "Gove sorting out soft subjects" stuff.

Mansell is ex-TES and knows whereof he speaks. Most of Fleet Street plugged in the orgasmatron as soon as a journo was promoted to Secretary of State - their piggy little eyes lit up and their crusty nips hardened...
