Manning was also on ITVs The Comedians - basically a stand-up show. Only Charlie Williams was allowed to do 'darkie' material.

Even I, as a ten year old, twigged that Manning was too low-brow for the BBC.

"Too many Jews for my liking" was a line in the original version of Love In A Void. But they also walked off stage in response to sieg heiling skinheads.
Christ. I knew they were anti-Nazi, but I only knew about the swastikas.

I caught a bit of W&SSC on Talking Pictures TV. If anyone tries to tell you that any '70s TV was better than what we have now...

Farage mentioned Marigold from In Sickness And In Health as part of his BBC bashing.

Does he mean Winston? Only the incredibly racist and homophobic Alf Garnett referred to him as Marigold... well, Alf and other racist homophobes.

In the same speech Farage produces a letter from an anonymous Jewish pupil from his school saying what a great bloke he was and not at all racist.

Dear Sir, Nigel can't do PE today because he has the bellyache. Signed- Nigel's mum.
He also had an epic rant at a R4 Today presenter (Emma Barnet?) for asking impertinent questions. What a snowflake.

Farage also produced a note from his mum purporting to be from an unidentified Jewish pupil explaining what a great bloke Nigel was at school at not at all racist.

He also had an epic rant at Emma Barnett for asking Tice impertinent questions about Farage. Worra snowflake.

Indeed, the "low-grade" (a favourite phrase of his) presenter.

Former Dulwich pupil says Farage told him: ‘That’s the way back to Africa’
Exclusive: Yinka Bankole says he felt compelled to speak out after Reform leader’s attempts to ‘dismiss’ hurt of alleged targets
It's even worse than it sounds. The victim of this alleged "banter" was 9, and Farage 17.

Had Farage been raging against Muslims, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, or any other group, barely an eyebrow would have been raised. Jewish people, on the other hand?

The BBC is quite rightly going after him and his Citadel. I am not alone in wishing that they had been a mite more attentive in the past.
