It may be based in Norway, but it is a completely independent body, and the government of Norway has no influence whatsoever over who receives any Nobel prize. His craving for the prize was only ever motivated by the fact that Obama was previously awarded the prize (without begging pathetically for it) anyway.

After Machado gave her prize to Trump, after being told that she could not do that, I understand that the Nobel Committee has now pronounced that both Machado & Trump will never be eligible for any future prize. Which is nice.

I've leaned towards Trump just playing crazy to flood the zone and firehose or whatever its called. But he's now the Colditz POW who sent himself mad from acting it out so he could be repatriated.
